Connecticut’s summer bucket list for 2022
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, which means the season of outdoor dining, day trips and festivals is upon us. There are many Connecticut summer activities to do every year. Whether it’s the Norwalk Oyster Festival or visiting one of the state’s more than 40 music venues – like the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport – or other venues hosting performances.
There is one summer tradition that can be completed no matter the weather, date or time. Feast on a lobster roll at one of the many lobster haunts.
Connecticut is close to the shoreline. Many beaches are available to the public.
Hammonasset Beach State park in Madison and Sherwood Island State park are free to residents of Connecticut.
Set sail on the sound
Visit a friend with a pool or visit a public pool
Pick a day to paddle board or kayak
Grab a pint at a beer festival
Attend an oyster festival
Try hiking a new (or favorite) trail
And, there is so much more to enjoy in the state of Connecticut.
